Magickal Uses: Used mostly as a protective herb, Juniper is also said to guard against theft. One of the earliest incenses used by European witches. Sprigs hung at the door protect against evil forces and people. Juniper is burned at exorcisms. When worn it is believed to protect the wearer against accidents and attacks by wild animals, ghosts and illness. Added to love mixtures, berries are carried to increase male potency. When burned, juniper helps the psychic powers and breaks hexes and curses, driving off evil. 

Healing Properties: nerves, urinary infections, gout, rheumatoid arthritis, clears congestion and is often a staple ingredient in natural cold and flu remedies.
