Our workshops & classes are generally held upstairs in the store, if you require wheelchair access please get in touch with us before booking. Whilst most of our classes can be moved to accommodate, there may be a few that we can't move - we may be able to offer you a private one-on-one session instead.
Tarot for Beginners ~ A Crash Course, Workshop

Suitable for: Those new to Tarot, or anyone who would like to learn the Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot deck
Exchange: $175 including workbook (byo tarot deck) - or add your choice of Tarot deck
About This Workshop:
Have you always wanted to learn Tarot but don't know where to begin?
Perhaps you've bought a deck and found yourself staring at the cards wondering, "What am I actually supposed to do with these?" Or perhaps you've been curious about Tarot for years but have never had the opportunity to learn in a relaxed, supportive environment.
Tarot – A Crash Course for Beginners is designed to give you a practical introduction to the Tarot without overwhelming you with complicated systems or requiring you to memorise endless lists of meanings.
During this intimate 3-hour beginner workshop, we'll explore the foundations of Tarot and begin developing your confidence in reading the cards for yourself and others.
Throughout the workshop we'll cover:
- What Tarot is and how it can be used as a tool for guidance and reflection.
- The structure of a Tarot deck and the Major and Minor Arcana.
- The four suits and how they differ.
- The meanings and symbolism of the Tarot cards.
- Traditional Rider-Waite-Smith meanings alongside my own approach to reading the cards.
- How to look at the imagery and develop your own intuitive understanding.
- How to ask useful questions when reading Tarot.
- Simple Tarot spreads for beginners.
- How to combine cards and recognise the story they are telling.
- A beginner-friendly Celtic Cross Spread – Crash Course Version.
- Practical reading exercises so you can begin putting what you've learned into practice.
Workbook Included:
Every participant will receive a professionally designed & printed workbook to take home. Lyllith has designed and written this workbook to be used during the workshop and then kept as your personal Tarot reference and practice guide.
You'll be able to make your own notes, record your interpretations and continue practising with it long after the workshop has finished.
Bring Your Own Deck – or Include one with the class
If you already have a Tarot deck you love, you're very welcome to bring it along (as long as it is Rider Waite). If you don't have a deck yet, simply include one while booking - we have two options available to choose from :)
Spaces are strictly limited - Bookings Essential
Workshops are intentionally kept small, with no more than 8 participants - This means there is plenty of opportunity to ask questions, practise your readings and receive individual guidance throughout the class.
Come along, settle in, and spend a few hours getting to know the cards.
By the end of the workshop, you'll have a solid foundation to continue developing your own relationship with the Tarot.

No shows will be charged the full workshop fee, cancellations will incur a 50% fee if spots are unable to be filled. Workshops are held upstairs in the store.
