Flavour Profile

Rich, sweet aromatic and a warm, spicy flavour with a hint of vanilla.

Benefits

Our Chai-inspired herbal tea may help alleviate indigestion, promote gastrointestinal health, reduce digestion issues, nausea and sooth pain associated with rheumatism and stomach cramps.

Tea leaves are caffeine-free and rich in antioxidants, which may support overall health. Honeybush tea is soothing and calming, makes a wonderful bedtime tea.

Cinnamon, Cardamom and Ginger are used in traditional medicine to aid the digestive system. Cinnamon may help maintain blood sugar levels, as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. It may also help reduce symptoms associated with colds, coughs, rheumatism and menstrual discomfort.

Preparation
  1. Add 1-2 teaspoons per cup
  2. Pour freshly boiled water over the Chai blend
  3. Allow to steep for 3-5 minutes (longer for stronger flavour)
  4. Strain your tea and Enjoy!

This blend tastes smoother with a little milk, a little honey will enhance the flavours of the spices.

Traditional Method:

  1. Add a tablespoon of chai-tea blend and add 1/2 cup of boiling water to a saucepan, soak on low heat for about 5 minutes.
  2. Turn the heat up slightly to medium heat, add 1 cup of milk and half a tablespoon of honey and heat until your brew is just about to boil (but don't let boil)
  3. Remove from heat, strain and serve.
Allergens/Contraindications

No adverse effects are expected with recommended usage.

Ginger - Use caution with ulcers, GERD, gallstones, kidney disease, and tendency to hemorrhage.  Increases absorption of all medications. Can reduce absorption of iron and fat soluble vitamins.
