Known as the most beautiful Moth in the World, the Sunset Moth is native to Madagascar and has been a treasured species of the world since the Victorian era, when their wings were used to fashion jewellery - particularly earrings.

This is a day-flying moth that can only be found in Madagascar. Stunning and also toxic so rarely preyed on by birds and other species.
The Malagasy people believe the soul of the dead or of ancestors appears in the form of a butterfly, or moth, and thus to attack it is to attack the ancestors.
