Ingredients & Packaging
Here you will find some information about the ingredients we use in our products, along with our packaging choices....
CANDLES:
Soy Based Wax (Pillars) - Recently our long-time supplier of Soy Wax closed it's doors and we were forced to source an alternative. Our new Soy based wax is, unfortunately no longer 100% soy wax, however it is by far the best wax I have ever used in making candles and as a bonus each ingredient is sustainably & ethically sourced.
Our new Soy Blend wax is made up primarily of natural soy bean and blended with smaller portions sustainably sourced, certified palm wax, premium grade paraffin wax and a unique plant based additive.
Soy Candles (in Jars) - Our soy jar candles are currently still made with pure soy wax, though we understand that the brand we currently use is being discontinued some time in 2020.
Palm Wax - We only use sustainable palm wax (including in the above Soy based blend) which is sourced from reputable and ethical suppliers. Our palm wax supplier is a member of the RSPO (Round Table on Sustainable Palm Oil) to find out more visit this site - https://www.rspo.org/
Essential Oils - Most of our products are crafted using Essential Oils. As always, we only use the highest quality available. We have several, highly respected suppliers of Essential Oils used by Naturopaths and Aromatherapists World-wide. We do not use, nor recommend Essential oils sold by MLM Companies.
Fragrance Oils - We only use fragrance oils in some of our products, our Sabbat Candles and some of our Scented Botanical Candles (always mentioned in descriptions). Our fragrance oils are predominantly made from natural ingredients, some are also made from completely natural ingredients. Only the highest quality oils are ever used from a reputable Australian Company who we have been sourcing our oils from for just over a decade.
ALL OTHER PRODUCTS:
Essential Oils - Most of our products are crafted using Essential Oils. As always, we only use the highest quality available. We have several, highly respected suppliers of Essential Oils used by Naturopaths and Aromatherapists World-wide. We do not use, nor recommend Essential oils sold by MLM Companies.
Botanicals - All of our Herbs, Resins & Berries are Organic. We have a few wonderful suppliers including farms who provide us with the best quality in herbs and resins. Due to being grown and harvested organicaly with no pesticides - there may be the rare beetle present. If your herbs contain a beetle or two we suggest popping your herbs into a ziplock or freezer bag, freezing the herb overnight and any beetle should be found in the corner to simply toss out. Your herbs will not be harmed by doing this - or from any beetle present ;)
WHITE SAGE:
We source our white sage from ethical and responsible suppliers, both here in Australia and also from America. Our Australian white sage is sourced directly from the growers in the Snowy Mountains of Victoria, all plants are grown organically (no chemicals or pesticides are used) and are handpicked to ensure continuous growth of the plants.
Our American white sage supplier works closely with local families in the coastal mountains of Southern California and have done for many years. Harvesting is sustainable, from legally approved areas in conjunction with the correct guidelines and regulations, pickers are all certified in compliance with law and permissions. White Sage is carefully picked and trimmed from the bushes allowing the plants to continue to grow.
PALO SANTO:
Our Palo Santo is sourced directly from Ecuador and Peru, both adhering to fair trade standards of labor conditions and the Palo wood is ethically sourced and harvested. Our suppliers also give back to the local communities regularly, as well as actively supporting the conservation of Palo Santos' native habitat and ongoing reforestation programs throughout both Ecuador and Peru.
Base Oils - Apricot, Almond, Jojoba, Olive, Coconut oils etc. We only use the highest quality, food grade oils from the best suppliers possible.
PACKAGING:
Most of our products are packaged in recyclable materials, glass bottles which can be refilled or other reusable materials.
HERBS: We are now using a more eco-friendly packaging for our herbs. All herbs are now being sent in either biodegradable cellophane bags or brown paper bags. The herb and weight is written on these bags for easy identification.

PACKAGING YOUR ORDERS:
When packing your orders we always recycle packaging from our suppliers, use as much eco-friendly packaging materials as possible and use recycled cardboard boxes. We recycle as much as possible and aim to reduce waste further by the end of the year by switching to compostable mailing satchels and bubble wrap as soon as costs permit.
We do at times use bubble wrap which has not been recycled, this is only done if we do not have any left in our recycled box and your item/s are too fragile not to be wrapped with extra care.
