Magickal Uses: Ground up and sprinkled around the home induces lust, carried in a leather mojo bag with silver promotes money, Worn or carried protects and brings good luck, burned in divination incense to aid physic powers. May be substituted with Ginger is not available.

Healing Properties: Galangal shares many of it's healing properties with its relative, Ginger. It is most commonly used to treat nausea, stomach upsets and aids digestion. Used to balance the Yin-Yang energies within the body, Galangal is a Yang food and brings warmth. It is also used to treat coughs and colds, it has also been used for mouth wounds such as cut gums. 

Research also shows that Galangal has cancer fighting properties and can kill some cancer cells as well as be used as a preventative.
