Magickal Uses: Wish magick, hold 7 tears and make your wish then throw into running water. The seeds are said to absorb pain and are often strung into a necklace and worn by teething babies and those with toothache, sore throats or colds.

Hoodoo practice: Seven seeds for making wishes come true. To work this spell, you hold the seven seeds in your hand, make your wish, and place the seeds in a pocket of your clothes. Wear them in the pocket for seven days. At the end of the seven days, go to where there is running water, hold the seeds in your hand, recite the 23rd Psalm ("The Lord is my shepherd, i shall not want") and throw the seeds over your left shoulder into the water to lay your trick.

Mexican Folk Magic: Keep seven Job's Tears seeds in your pocket for gambling luck, but do not get them wet.

Healing Properties: Most commonly taken for hay fever, high cholesterol, cancer, warts, arthritis, obesity, and respiratory tract infections. It is also used to treat Toxoplasmosis.
