Magickal Uses: Given to your cat, catnip creates a psychic bond between the two of you, making it excellent for bonding, communing with and doing magic with your feline familiar. It is also intoxicating to the cat - though some cats may behave differently to others.

Catnip is often used in love sachets, usually in conjunction with rose petals 

Catnip is also used in spells to enhance beauty and happiness. 

Healing Properties: When smoked, catnip is quite relaxing. Take care when using catnip as it tends to increase the effects of other herbs and medications.

Catnip leaves are a muscle relaxant, used in treating nervous disorders, anxiety and depression. 

It also soothes problems of indigestion and insomnia.

Another health benefit of catnip is treatment of an eating disorder called bulimia nervosa which is an excessive intake of food followed by forced purging or vomiting.
