Dittany of Crete, dried herbs (direct from Greece) - 5g

Botanical name: Dictamus origanoides, D. albus, known in Greek as δίκταμο or in Cretan dialect έρωντας

Folk Names: Eronda (local name), Diktamo, Cretan dittany, hop marjoram, wintersweet, and wild marjoram.

Gender: Feminine

Planet: Venus

Element: Water

Deities: Aphrodite, Greek Gods & Goddesses - particularly those of the Underworld.

Powers: Visions, manifestation, love, lust, Astral Projection

Magickal Uses: When burned, Dittany is excellent for manifestation of spirits including mythical beasts and creatures such as Dragons, the wraiths appear in the smoke as it rises. 

When mixed with vanilla, benzoin and sandalwood it makes a wonderful incense blend for Astral projection - you only need to burn a small amount. 

Traditionally, Dittany was/is given to the Bride & Groom on their wedding day as it symbolizes love. 

Most commonly used in necromancy (communication with spirits)

Healing Properties: Used by the ancients to help heal open wounds and in childbirth. Commonly used in herbal teas to assist with weightloss.

Thank you very happy. Sorry haven't replied earlier, but have been gardening & at 72, I crash when I come inside. I have great intentions, the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak
