Magickal Uses: Motherwort burned as incense or carried promotes trust in the Universe and confidence that all will work out well. It is also useful in reversal magick, spiritual healing and protection. 

Healing Properties: Motherwort is commonly used by women to prevent urine infections, prevent pregnancy, help during childbirth, ease postpartum depression, menstral cramps, bloating and PMS, hot flushes and anything else to do with monthly menstral cycles.

Avoid when pregnant - causes miscarriage, only use during the last few days to bring on childbirth or during to ease the pains (with guidance from a medical practitioner or midwife) Also avoid when breastfeeding, or when taking thyroid medication.

Motherwort soothes muscles and vascular system, slows heart beat and heart rate.
